Vosges
The Vosges, a mountainous area between the German and Swiss borders, which you do not immediately associate with France.
‘Du vin, du pain et les fromages can’ undoubtedly be found in this region, but do not summarize this region at all.
We enjoyed a few days in this beautiful area, we are happy to take you with us on our journey in this blog.
A beautiful route through the Vosges with many views. You can do several hikes here and enjoy the views.
For example, you can walk up le hockneck. Because of the beautiful weather it was a bit too busy and we chose to do a few random hikes.
We don’t share a lot of sleepspots but this is soooo worth it to share with you!
We have slept here twice: last year and during this trip. Both times we enjoyed the most spectaculair sunsets 🙂 (picture from the banner)

Located 1 hour from route des cretes, but it is certainly worth the detour.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather, which means that we could see the Alps in the background. So beautiful! Be sure to take a walk.
This is probably the most famous mountain of the Vosges. We saw both a sunset and a sunrise here. BEAUTIFUL
A 360 degree view of the Vosges, bliss!
View of 3 mountain ranges: the Vosges, the Black Forest & the Alps! I’m clearly a fan.
If u want to make a long +- 9km hike, you can combine lac noir, lac blanc & lac des Truites. Recommended!
We made a route between the three lakes using maps.me. Keep in mind that it is sometimes a steep climb. But on the tops you are always rewarded by beautiful views.
This is one of the larger villages in the Vosges. Beautifully situated in the valley with a view of the mountains.
We did a walk around the lake, beautiful and easily accessible!
